How Seattle charter quotes come together
Give us the route, the date, the passenger count and the bags. From that we price each aircraft class hour by hour: a turboprop runs $2,200 to $3,500 per hour, a light jet $3,800 to $5,800, a midsize $5,200 to $7,800, a super-midsize $7,200 to $10,000, and a heavy $9,500 to $14,500. A Seattle to San Francisco trip in a light jet prices between $6,500 and $10,000; the same class to Los Angeles lands between $8,500 and $13,500.
Every quote is an estimate. It covers the aircraft, crew, fuel and standard fees, and it holds only when the operator confirms the tail for your date. Empty legs and repositioning flights come in lower, but they follow the aircraft's schedule, not yours.
Who flies the aircraft
We are a broker. We don't own aircraft and we don't crew them. The companies that fly your trip hold FAA Part 135 operating certificates, and they carry operational control for the flight. That means the certificate holder, not us, makes the go/no-go call, assigns the pilots, and answers to the FAA for how the flight runs.
When you book through us, the contract for the flight is with the operator. We sit between you and their scheduling desk and stay on the file until the wheels are down.
What we check before your flight
We verify the operator's certificate is current and covers the aircraft type and the regions on your route. We confirm liability insurance limits and named insureds. We review third-party safety audit reports where the operator has them. On crew, we check duty time and rest limits against the flight plan, which matters on long westbound legs and on trips that start early from Boeing Field.
The airport itself gets a look too. King County International sits at 21 feet elevation with a 10,007-foot runway. Paine Field sits at 606 feet with 9,010 feet. Summer density altitude reaches about 1,200 feet in July and 1,800 feet at 115 degrees at Boeing Field, so hot-day performance gets factored into the aircraft we offer.
How we are paid
You pay the operator for the flight. Our fee is disclosed in your quote and is not buried inside the hourly rate. If you change the itinerary we re-quote, and we tell you what moved and why. Nothing lands on your invoice after the flight that wasn't in the quote you approved.
Questions
How much does a private jet charter from Seattle cost?
It depends on the aircraft and the distance. Hourly rates run from $2,200 to $3,500 for a turboprop, $3,800 to $5,800 for a light jet, up to $9,500 to $14,500 for a heavy jet. A light jet from Seattle to San Francisco prices between $6,500 and $10,000. These are estimates until an operator confirms a specific aircraft for your date.
Which Seattle airport will my flight use?
Most charters use Boeing Field, which has a 10,007-foot runway and sits at 21 feet elevation. Sea-Tac has the longest runway at 11,901 feet, and Paine Field north of the city has 9,010 feet. Bremerton National gives you 6,000 feet across the water. We pick based on where you're starting, the aircraft's runway needs and the operator's base.
Are you the operator of the aircraft?
No. We are a charter broker. The flights we arrange are flown by companies holding FAA Part 135 operating certificates, and those operators hold operational control. They assign the crew and make the final safety call. We verify their certificate, insurance and third-party audit reports before we pass a quote to you.
